So, yeah. it’s going to take a little bit to get back into arting. Don’t be scared if things start looking different. I haven’t drawn ponies for about a month and a half.

*** 6 WEEK EXAM HIATUS***
As of the 13th of May I will be going on hiatus due to SUPER ULTRA MEGA IMPORTANT EXAMS. In this time I will not be updating my blog, though there will be a few guest artist posts to carry you through the break.
If anyone else wishes to be a guest artist then I have posted a list of my current questions here - chose one you like, send me an ask with your idea and if I approve it (which is 99.9% possible) then just go ahead and draw it how you want. If you do this then I’ll link to your blog when I upload it and draw you some gift art after exams (max 2 characters).
In this time I will probably be checking my tumblr at least once a day and I’ll try to respond to any mod questions ASAP.

My, an answer to my letter? I must say, if I was more interested in the celebrity culture, I might find myself gushing. But, I shall be professional!
You… certainly raise some good points, and they do rather make me wish I was better at the whole ordeal… I can reach seven wingpowers if I really push myself, but I don’t often use my wings for more than a little hovering, when I find myself too short to do something… So, it’s safe to say that I’m not much of a flier.
Perhaps it’s because I’m rather afraid of the freedom you and so many of our kin crave so much. I have found myself somewhat inclined to stay in the safety and warmth of the inside world… For my own reasons, of course, but at least I’ve been forced to do something about it.
Maybe one could liken your exhilaration of flight to my own elation upon furthering my studies? It makes me feel terribly excited, but… Oh, who am I kidding. My life is one devoid of excitement.
Still, you do seem like a lovely mare. It’s very unlikely that you’ll see this message, but if you happen to be in Ponyville over the next week or two, would you mind if I invited you for a cup of tea and a chat? I certainly wouldn’t mind getting to know you.

Aurora and I met up a week later in Ponyville to have, as suggested, a cup of tea and a chat. We covered some pretty interesting - to us at least - topics, such as various theories on the relative non-existence of matter and the quickest way to replace sparkplugs, and with luck we’ll be staying in pretty regular contact!
I don’t know what it is to other pegasi but for me I cannot help but the love the simple freedom that my wings grant me - in the air, in the sky, you are not limited to forwards, back, left and right. You can go wherever you want, in whichever direction. It’s completely up to you. And when you’re up there, and you can feel the wind in your fur and in your mane and in your wings and you can know EVERYTHING about it in no more than a few seconds, from its basic direction to how it could affect you in flight it’s as if you and the sky are almost on entity, bound together by wings and willingness.
This is why the sky and my wings are important to me. I would be lost without them, I think - wings allow me to go anywhere pretty much whenever I want, to lose anyone whose company I do not want to share by going above or below or around them.
Nothing can really describe how it feels to fly, and I mean this sincerely. No words or images can accurately convey the wonderful joy and freedom of flight that I and my teammates feel.

Spittfire beat me in a race once, and hasn’t let me forget it since. I think it was a slightly longer race than the ones I normally take part in - I may be the fastest in the team but Spitfire has much more stamina than I do.
